The Air Max 2017 is getting a little bit of a makeover. Newly available Asics Gel Kayano 23 Femme from the Swoosh is a reworked take on this year’s flagship Air Max silhouette dubbed the Air Max More. Essentially a streamlined take on the design, Air Max More comes built atop the 2017′s tooling, but ditches the Engineered Mesh of the original in favor of an internal bootie Asics Gel Lyte 5 Femme and an upper inspired by the Air Maxes of the ’90s.
Nike’s flagship Air Max silhouette is ready to welcome a new iteration to the family. Comfort is paramount for all Air Max models and 2017 is no different as it displays 360-degrees of visible Air within its signature midsole Asics Gel Lyte 5 Damen unit. This model also removes its Dynamic Flywire which has been seen in previous silhouettes, while Engineered Mesh makes up the upper. 3M hits are added for an eye-catching touch via its lateral and medial Swooshes as well as heel and tongue branding. Its debut colorways are Nike Air Max 2017 Femme set in a couple options, one donning all black and another sporting a blue that transitions into black from heel to toe respectively.
British retailer JD Sports and Nike recently released a conceptual promotional film for the new Air Max 2017 which shows a metaphorical exploration Nike Air Max 90 Womens of air and the negative space it occupies. Conceptualized, designed, and directed by design and motion studio ManvsMachine, the Air Max 2017’s ultralight support and maximum comfort are portrayed through a series of visual metaphors inspired by scenarios encountered on an everyday Adidas Superstar Femme Blanche run.

After giving the Air Max 95 a “Triple Black” colorway earlier this year, Nike is giving its updated Air Max 95 Ultra the blacked-out treatment as well. With a Premium SE construction, the modernized iteration of the iconic sneaker features a molded foam upper, reflective 3M hits on the tongue and heel, mesh contrasting, a black Flywire system, and even tinted Air units.
