It wasn’t long ago that we caught a glimpse of the Nike Air Max 1 Ultra in an OG “Asics Gel Quantum 360 Donna Sport Red” colorway. Now, the second of the two original shades, “Varsity Blue,” reappears onto this modern-day iteration of Nike’s pioneering silhouette.
Comprised of a one-piece upper, the streamlined shoe bears Nike Free 5.0 Donna similar aesthetic attributes proposed by its predecessor, noting only differences in overall construction and shape. With a screen-printed mesh quarter, vamp and toe box, the Air Max 1 Ultra in “Varsity Blue” is an Adidas ZX Flux Mujer authentic re-imagination of an iconic shoe model and its most famous colorway.
After dropping the Air Max 1 Ultra in its OG colorway, the Swoosh is back with an all-new blacked-out version of the legendary sneaker. The Triple Adidas Superstar Femme Black colorway is engineered with a seamless mesh upper that sits atop a matching all-black midsole, finished off with matching laces (of course).
Later this month, Nike will be dropping a retro Nike Air Max Classic BW Dames rendition of its 2002 release of the Air Max 1 alongside atmos. The “Safari” set features the same color combination as the original, minus swapping out the gum sole, here for a translucent look. Also, on the Asics Gel Lyte 5 Femme new pair, the toe box now boasts nappy suede instead of mesh.
For this year’s Air Max Day, celebrating the 29th birthday of the iconic Nike franchise and Air Max 1 sneaker, the sportswear behemoth has set up a voting Asics Gel Lyte 3 Dames Zwartfeature where you stand a chance to bring back your favorite Air Max model from the dead. Some of the most iconic Air Max 1 sneakers from the last 29 years were included.

On Air Max Day 2017, so one year from today, the atmos x Nike Air Max 1 “Elephant” will return.
