BOSTON - Colby Rasmus wont play again this season, placed on the 15-day disabled list on Saturday with a left eye contusion. “It could have been ugly,” said manager John Gibbons. His .840 OPS is easily his best since his breakout 2010 season with the Cardinals (.859.) Rasmus hit 22 home runs in 118 games. His career best of 23, set in 2010 and 2012, was achieved in 144 and 151 games, respectively.
