There needs to be some consistency as a brand, as an image, kind of stylistically. You wouldn’t want to take a Jordan shoe and be inspired by, say, a LeBron shoe. It just wouldn’t have the same consistency for Jordan Brand.”Originally produced in Italy, the Air Jordan 2 was a trail-blazing pioneer of sorts. It introduced luxury design to basketball sneakers, a decades-ahead-of-its-time precursor to the 21st century’s Adidas ZX Flux Womens love affair with high-fashion sneakers. This weekend, renowned sportswear label Just Don steps up the luxury a few notches.
The Just Don x Air Jordan 2 Beach releases on Saturday, embracing the collaborator’s signature flair for designer sportswear. Luxe quilted leather pairs with suede overlays on the monochromatic tan upper, combining with tonal rubber heel and midsole for a truly eye-popping look.
