TAMPA, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Lightning were determined not to lose two straight at home. Team captain Martin St. Louis did more than his share to make sure it didnt occur. St. Louis had two goals and an assist, Ben Bishop improved to 4-0, and the Lightning beat the Los Angeles Kings 5-1 on Tuesday night. Tampa Bay was coming off a 5-4 loss to Pittsburgh Saturday night in which Matt Niskanen scored a tiebreaking power-play goal with 18.6 seconds left. "It was important to answer," St. Louis said. "I felt like we gave up at least one point last game. In his league at home, youve got a homestand, you cant lose two in a row. I thought we answered pretty well from the get-go." St. Louis has four goals and 10 points during a five-game point streak. He assisted on Malones goal for his 900th point with the Lightning. Including his time with Calgary, St. Louis has 922 points, which is 94th on the NHL career list. "Remarkable ... To be able to continue to excell for as long as hes played in this league," Tampa Bay coach Jon Cooper said of the 38-year old St. Louis. "He still considers himself a young kid. And to just be able to have a front row seat, Im glad Im here to watch this." Ryan Malone, Teddy Purcell and Ondrej Palat had the other Tampa Bay (4-2) goals. Bishop made a strong save in the second on Trevor Lewis shot from the low left circle. The goalie had missed one game after having his right leg jammed during the third period of last Thursdays game against Florida. Los Angeles (4-3) goalie Jonathan Quick was pulled late in the second after allowing three goals on 17 shots. Quick had a 3-0 record with an 0.55 goals-against-average in four previous games against Tampa Bay. "We clearly out-played them the second period and were still down," Los Angeles coach Darryl Sutter said. "Their goalie was outstanding." Slava Voynov scored for the Kings, who had a three-game winning atreak end. His goal ended Bishops shutout bid at 10:27 of the third. St. Louis ended Quicks night on a goal from the low slot that gave the Lightning a 3-0 advantage with 3:38 remaining in the second. Malone put the Lightning up 1-0 when he re-directed Sami Salos shot just 19 seconds into the game. "I thought we did a good job of getting off to a good start," said Bishop, who made 30 saves. "Score on the first shift like that, big momentum for our team and we kind of kept it going." Purcell made it 2-0 from the low left circle on Tampa Bays eighth shot with 7:16 left in the first. "Weve got to just regroup after this game, throw it out and realize we need a lot better effort and a lot better detail out of our game," Kings defenceman Matt Greene said. "We just didnt break their speed. Weve got to do a better job in the neutral zone to kind of combat that, and we didnt do a very good job tonight. Weve just got to learn from it and move on." St. Louis got his second goal of the game with 7:20 to play. Palat scored late in the third to extend the Lightning lead to 5-1. Voynov hit the post late in the first for the Kings, who had a goal 32 seconds into the second disallowed because of incidental contact with the goalie. Los Angeles also failed to score during a 4-minute power after Salo received a high-sticking penalty at 3:08 of the second. The Kings, who had 10 shots on the power play, went 0 for 5 with the man advantage. Tampa Bay failed to convert on its three opportunties. NOTES: Bishop was briefly shaken up after taking Daniel Carcillos shot off the mask late in the first. ... Ben Scrivens replaced Quick and gave up two goals on eight shots. ... Kings D Drew Doughty was minus-4 for the game. ... This was just the fourth time in the last 10 years that the Kings played a road game against Tampa Bay. Jaquiski Tartt Womens Jersey . Under cross-examination at the High Court in London, Ecclestone said he was blackmailed by the banker tasked with selling a significant stake in F1, and paid him off to avoid being reported to the authorities over his tax affairs. "I made up my mind he needed to be kept quiet," Ecclestone said after claiming he was "shaken down" by BayernLBs Gerhard Gribkowsky. Former F1 shareholder Constantin Medien contests that Ecclestone and his family trust entered into a "corrupt bargain" with Gribkowsky to ensure BayernLBs 47 per cent F1 stake was sold in 2005 to the buyer desired by the sports long-standing commercial chief. Gribkowsky received an alleged bribe totalling US$44 million which led to investment group CVC Capital Partners acquiring the stake. Constantin Medien, a German media company, is suing Ecclestone and other defendants for up to $144 million, claiming F1 was undervalued by the BayernLB deal. Ecclestone maintained Wednesday that at the time of the deal -- and now -- he was not trying to safeguard his own future in F1, insisting he doesnt "want to die as CEO" of F1. "As long as I have got control of the company I will continue to be there ... I am in a fortunate position -- I dont need a job," Ecclestone said. Asked by Constantin Medien lawyer Philip Marshall about the prospect of retirement, the 83-year-old Ecclestone replied: "I dont mind, Ive got plenty of things to do." In a case that could threaten Ecclestones future with F1, a German court is deciding whether he will stand trial on charges of bribery and incitement to breaach of trust.dddddddddddd. Ecclestones legal team maintains that a "consultancy package" was paid to Gribkowsky, who was jailed in Germany last year for 8 1/2 years for taking the payment. In the High Court, Ecclestone was asked why he responded to the apparent blackmail threat by seeking the advice of an in-house accountant rather than lawyers, and did not approach the police. "It doesnt make any sense," Marshall said. "You are in a situation where you are being asked to pay millions of dollars over a threat or an insinuation that may cause you tax problems. You dont ask any of the lawyers ... thats just something (a reason) you fabricated. You have made it up." Ecclestone, appearing for the first time in person in the second week of the civil trial, spoke quietly at times and regularly banged the desk as he grew increasingly frustrated with questioning. Ecclestone said he was happy to pay Gribkowsky $22.5 million himself to avoid any potential tax investigation, and saw little point in contacting the police. "I wanted to get rid of (Gribkowsky) making silly statements," Ecclestone said. Ecclestone built his powerbase in F1 from the 1970s and helped to create the Formula One Constructors Association that controlled the business side of the series, including selling the TV rights. The British-based company later became known as Formula One Management. CVC, having amassed a 63 per cent stake of F1, has reduced its holding as other investors have come on board in recent years, although a planned flotation has stalled. Constantin Medien is claiming it lost out due to the deal negotiated by Gribkowsky. Gribkowsky is a defendant in the case along with Ecclestones lawyer, Stephen Mullens, and the Ecclestone family trust, Bambino Holdings. cheap nfl jerseys authentic wholesale jerseys cheap jerseys authentic jerseys nfl wholesale wholesale jerseys stitched ' ' '
