To mark the thirties of the Air Max, Nike offers shoe lovers the first time to choose their definition of the future of the air. To do so, she asked 12 designers and innovators from around the world, the Revolutionairs, to offer them the chance to create the Air Max Adidas ZX 700 Mujer of their dream. For that, they joined the brand's design team for two days at the world headquarters in Portland. We had the privilege of exchanging exclusively with Clément Balavoine, who is one of the selected creative and young French designer, on her return from Portland. We asked him a few questions. Passionate since his young age by drawing and fashion, he has always dreamed of working one day for the brand at the comma. Small, he came to draw shoes on the corners of the school table. By integrating behind the scenes into Portland, he was lucky to realize his childhood dream by penetrating into the lair of making all the products that made, made and will make the Nike aura.
I always wanted to work with Nike. I have always been interested in the history of the brand and the different Nike Air Max 90 Womens Black innovations over time and I have always been impressed by the Air Max, and above all, its design. From the story of Tinker Hatfield, the designer of the Air Max 1 and many other models thereafter, and drawing inspiration from the Center Pompidou to bring out the technology and make it visual. All this was a very great inspiration. Besides, we will come back to it later, but I wanted to pay tribute to Tinker Hatfield on my design.
The Air Max 90 is my first pair of shoes, when I was very young. And the 97 was a shoe that was inspired by the Bullet Train in Japan and I love Japanese culture and I think it's great. And the model, I find it very very well realized in its aerodynamics, lines. It is a pair that I never could have, and suddenly it is a little Holy Grail. I absolutely wanted to mix these two designs but also because Nike Air Max 95 Dames I created eight or nine concepts for this event, but my very first concept was with these two pairs of shoes and I Nike Cortez Dames realized that it was the design The most balanced by mixing these two components: the sole of the 97 with the "upper" of the 90.
It is totally a reflection of my style, my aesthetics. I am a very minimalist person and it will be 4-5 years since I grew up in this style, a bit technical, futuristic, minimal and modern. I try to stay sober in all my work. That's why I went black and white, it's also what I wear myself and that reflects my style, quite simply.
