With a sole composed entirely of TPU, the designers were able to strip out excess glue and rubber. Combined with the Flyknit and Flywire upper, the overall feel is—well, lighter than air.

After a few pairs of the laceless Nike Air VaporMax began circulating the internet early last month, one Instagram user recently took to the platform to show off a pair of never-before-seen Nike Air VaporMax sneakers.
Thanks to Instagram sneaker photographer,we recently received an on-feet look at Nike’s upcoming laceless Air VaporMax. From the photos, we can see that the laceless “Triple Black” and “Multicolor” iterations of the runner feature a silhouette and Flyknit construction similar to the original VaporMax model. But the traditional shoelace system has been replaced by a thick elastic band, which proudly displays Nike’s Swoosh branding. And of course, the design of the shoe is rounded up by the unique and signature VaporMax segmented sole unit.
