The rolling Montreal Canadiens try to extend their season-best winning streak to six games when they welcome the Los Angeles Kings for a battle at the Bell Centre. You can watch the game live in the first half of the NHL on TSNs doubleheader at 7pm et/4pm pt. You can also listen to the game live on TSN 690 Montreal. Montreal has recorded five straight wins and has earned at least a point in 10 straight games, posting a superb 9-0-1 record during that stretch. The Canadiens are on their first five-game winning streak since March 7-16 of last season, but Montreal hasnt won six in a row since March 6-16, 2010. Historically speaking, Tuesdays matchup is a good one for the Habs, who have claimed seven straight and nine of their last 10 encounters with the Kings. Los Angeles also has lost five in a row and 12 of its past 13 games in Montreal. The Canadiens picked up their most recent victory in Saturdays home test against the lowly Buffalo Sabres. Brandon Prust and Tomas Plekanec both tallied a goal and an assist to help Montreal notch a 3-2 regulation win over the Sabres. Alex Galchenyuk also lit the lamp and Travis Moen tallied two assists for Montreal. Carey Price turned aside 23 shots for the win. Despite his club improving to 11-1-2 in its last 14 games, head coach Michel Therrien was less than pleased with his clubs start against the Sabres, who are dead last in the NHL standings. "There was no intensity in the first and that is why I started the fourth line in the second and they responded 19 seconds later. They were physical, they were intense and showed some leadership," said Therrien. Saturdays win was the sixth straight on home ice for Montreal, which is completing a three-game stay at the Bell Centre on Tuesday. The Habs boast a 11-5-2 record as the home club in 2013-14. Although the Kings havent had much success against the Canadiens over the years, they are entering tonights tilt on a three-game winning streak. Another win for L.A. tonight would match a four-game run from Nov. 14-19 as the clubs longest winning stretch of the season. Martin Jones made his second NHL start and stopped 16 shots to notch his first career shutout in Saturdays 3-0 home win over the New York Islanders. Anze Kopitar, Dustin Brown and Tyler Toffoli each scored once for the Kings. "Its good. I mean anytime you win its a good feeling," Jones said. "It wasnt a ton of work early, but they had some zone time so I was able to get in the game. I thought we got better as the game went on." The Kings expect to return to Ben Scrivens as the starting goaltender on Tuesday. The former Toronto Maple Leafs netminder is 1-2-0 with a 2.75 goals against average in four career appearances against the Canadiens. Price, meanwhile, is 3-0 with a 1.67 GAA in three lifetime starts against L.A. Los Angeles is kicking off a four-game road trip tonight and the trek will also take the team to Toronto, Ottawa and Chicago. The Kings have won five of their last six away games to improve their road record this season to 9-3-2. cheap jerseys from china . (Sports Network) - The Philadelphia Flyers will have payback on their minds tonight when they visit the Atlanta Thrashers at Philips Arena for the second meeting between the clubs in less than a week. The Flyers hosted Atlanta this past Saturday at Wells Fargo Center and the Thrashers recorded an overtime victory despite trailing Philadelphia by a 3-0 score after two periods. It marked the first time the Flyers had blown a lead of three goals after two periods of play since Nov. 21, 1987 versus the New York Islanders. Philadelphia was able to rebound from that frustrating loss with Tuesdays road victory over the Florida Panthers. That win allowed the Flyers to remain one point ahead of Washington for the Eastern Conference lead and Philly is still holding that advantage heading into todays action. The Flyers have compiled a 3-0-1 record since losing a season-worst four straight games from Feb. 26-March 6. Philadelphia trailed the Panthers by a 2-1 count after one period, but Jeff Carter scored twice in the second to lift the Flyers to the 3-2 decision at BankAtlantic Center. Scott Hartnell picked up the first-period score for the Flyers and Brian Boucher made 20 saves to record the win. We seemed to be in control after the second period, Flyers head coach Peter Laviolette said. We played good defensively. Boucher could get the start again tonight after rookie Sergei Bobrovsky alloowed five goals on 41 shots in Saturdays loss to the Thrashers.dddddddddddd Boucher is 4-5-0 with two ties and a 2.35 goals-against average in his career against Atlanta. Tonights tilt marks the middle portion of a three-game road trip for the Flyers. Philly, which is 22-9-3 as the guest this year, will complete the swing Saturday in Dallas. Atlanta lost its first game following Saturdays comeback win over the Flyers, as the Thrashers were dealt a 4-2 setback Tuesday evening in New Jersey. The Devils trailed by a 2-1 score after 20 minutes, but scored the games final three goals. Tim Stapleton and Chris Thorburn scored for Atlanta, while Ondrej Pavelec made 20 saves in defeat. It was a tough one ... Were disappointed. We have to focus on the next one, Pavelec said. Pavelec started Saturdays game against Philadelphia, but he was pulled after allowing three goals on 12 shots. Chris Mason was credited with the victory after stopping 11-of-12 shots and he could get the start tonight. The Thrashers enter tonight with 70 points, tying them with New Jersey for the 11th seed in the East. The clubs are six points behind Buffalo for the conferences final playoff spot.
