The team has hopes of mounting a resurgence this summer in London; four secret programs, revealed at the last minute, are the secret weapons that they plan to use to launch that offensive. Less than two weeks ago, they revealed that their duet performances will be performed to "Jester" and "Zipper" themes. "This routine will show once again what makes Canadian synchronized swimming so distinctive and unique: the creativity in both our movements annd acrobatic jumps (highlights) and the strength and endurance of our athletes," said Julie Sauvé, Canadian senior national team coach in a release.dddddddddddd "I would advise spectators in London to arrive early because the opening minutes of this program are very impressive. While their duet themes were set to have a tie to London -- "Jester" is a nod to courtly entertainment -- Canada developed its free theme out of Canadian roots. Cirque du Soleil, after all, was founded in Quebec. The team has even enlisted the help of Cirque du Soleil specialists while preparing the routine. "We always have the best themes when we get to the competition. Even if at first it seems weird, you end up noticing that our routines are the most fun and entertaining," Little said. "In Beijing, we did the Chinese astrology, which was again based on the country to get everybody involved. All of the Chinese athletes were all, Oh! I know what it says on your suit! because it was written in Chinese." The team will release its final theme -- for the team technical program -- on June 4, and will perform one closed presentation of its programs later in the month. The swimmers will then travel to Europe where they will work all the final kinks out of their programs ahead of the Games. Synchro Canada already believes its programs and choreography could be good enough for an Olympic medal. Next, Little says, the swimmers have to focus on their execution. "We just have to be perfect.
