adidas Originals has officially unveiled the adidas Superstar Boost silhouette, which will debut on February 9th in men’s and women’s colorways.

True to the original blueprint of the shell-toe classic, the adidas Superstar has been restored Adidas Superstar Womens in full, constructed from premium elk leather in monochrome Black and White colorways, finished with Gold branding details. A full-length Boost midsole, concealed by the shoe’s untouchable original tooling, adds unparalleled modern comfort to the sidewalk classic, revealed only by the shoe’s undersole and an open Boost panel on the Nike Air Max 95 Mujer medial arch.

Reproducing the original silhouette in full, the women’s release sees the adidas Superstar constructed from Metallic leather in Bronze and Silver colorways, countered Asics Gel Quantum 360 Mujer by a contrast White midsole and essential rubber shell-toe. The end result is a classic Superstar release; street ready and built to turn heads, but with subtle updates that bring contemporary tech to a certified sidewalk classic.

The year 2016 is almost a wrap, and looking back, a few brands stick out as those that dominated Adidas Superstar Dam Gold fashion. They made—and sold—the products everyone wanted. They were the ones people couldn’t stop talking about. They were right at the center of culture and how we dress today.

Gucci and Vetements were certainly in this camp. But the brand that did it on the biggest scale—in a way that was as smart as it was lucrative—was Adidas. It benefited from the continued success of athleisure, which has remained a major force shaping clothing today, and helped fuel it through its popularity.
