Ryan Kujawinskis recent scoring pace is what the Kingston Frontenacs hoped for when they aqcuired him earlier in the season from the Sarnia Sting. Kujawinski scored in his fifth straight game and added an assist as the Frontenacs defeated the visiting Erie Otters 9-3 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League action. The 16-year-old rookie now has seven goals and 10 points in his last five outings and 20 points in 18 games in a Kingston jersey. As a member of the Sting, he had just one goal and six points in 29 games. Cody Alcock scored three times and set up one more for the Frontenacs (18-32-6), who have earned at least one point in six straight games. Nathan Cull had two goals, Alex Gudbranson scored once and added two assists while Spencer Green and David Mazurek added single goals. Darcy Greenaway chipped in with three assists. Jake Evans scored twice for the Otters (8-41-5) as Anthony Cortellessa had the other. Jacob Riley made 30 saves for the win while Ramis Sadikov allowed all nine goals on 57 shots against in a losing effort. Kingston went 1 for 2 on the power play as Erie scored twice on four opportunities with the man advantage. Elsewhere in the OHL, it was: Owen Sound 5, Plymouth 1; Sarnia 4, Guelph 2; Barrie 5, Kitchener 3; Windsor 4, London 1; Brampton 3, Mississauga 2 (SO); Oshawa 8, Belleville 1; Sault Ste. Marie 4, Saginaw 3 (OT); and Niagara 5, Sudbury 2. The game between the 67s and the Peterborough Petes in Ottawa was rescheduled for Saturday afternoon due to weather. At Kingston, Ont., Cortellessa opened the scoring just 1:40 into the game, on the power play, and Evans doubled Eries lead at 4:30. Green put the Frontenacs on the board at 11:58 to make it a 2-1 game after 20 minutes of play. The second period is when Kingston picked up their offence, scoring four straight goals in just over six minutes. Cull scored at 5:06, Alcock scored at 9:00, Mazurek followed him at 10:28 and finally Cull added his second of the game at 11:28 to give the Frontenacs a 5-2 lead heading into the final period. Gudbranson extended the lead with a goal at 4:42 and 18 seconds later Alcock added his second of the game. Evans scores his second goal, by way of power play, at 7:13 but the Frontenacs added two more before the game was finished.
