(Sports Network) - The Braves rebounded from an embarrassing loss Friday night by narrowly defeating the Angels on Saturday, and now Atlanta and Anaheim will collide in the finale of this three-game set of interleague action. On Friday the Braves were shut down by Ervin Santana and the Angels, but they were able to avoid dropping their fourth straight with an extra-inning 5-4 decision on Saturday. Joe Mather went 4-for-6 with a three-run homer and drove in the game-winning run in the 12th inning. Alex Gonzalez singled off Trevor Bell (1-1) with two outs in the 12th and went to second on Alexi Amaristas error. Gonzalez scored without a play at the plate when Mather placed a double down the right-field line, and Craig Kimbrel shook off a leadoff walk in the bottom half to post his 12th save of the year. The win, which snapped Atlantas three-game slide, was credited to Scott Proctor (1-0) for his perfect 11th inning in relief. Bobby Abreu hit a two-run homer for the Angels, who had snapped a five-game losing streak with a 9-0 win in the series opener. Atlanta starter Tommy Hanson gave up a season-high four runs on five hits and four walks in six innings, but was taken off the hook when Atlanta finally solved Joel Pineiro in the seventh. Atlanta will try to remain in the win column when Derek Lowe takes the hill this afternoon. The right-hander has recorded just one decision in his last five starts, and it was an impressive victory over the Philadelphia Phillies. However, since that victory the crafty veteran has been held out of the win column. The last time Lowe was in action, he was at his best, allowing just one run in seven innings against Houston. Lowe struck out four and did not walk a batter, but the offense for Atlanta got started late, leaving the right-hander with a no decision. Lowe spent a good portion of his career in Boston, so he is no stranger to the Angels. This will be his 30th appearances against the Halos and his 14th start. In his career, Lower is just 6-7 against the Angels and has six saves as well, to go along with a respectable 3.18 earned run average. As for the Angels, they will send Tyler Chatwood to the bump, as the young hurler will try to rebound from his worst start of the season. The 21-year-old fell to 2-2 on the year with an embarrassing performance against Oakland. The right-hander did not make it out of the third inning, allowing seven runs -- five earned -- on seven hits and two walks. Chatwood has pitched well at home though, so hopefully pitching in front of a friendly crowd will help the young hurler. In five starts in Anaheim Chatwood is 1-1 with a 3.23 earned run average. Atlanta took two of three on the road when these clubs last met in 2008. cheap jerseys from china . Greg Chase and Kenton Helgesen also scored for the Hitmen (18-7-4), who extended their win streak to five games, while Brady Brassart chipped in with two assists. Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Roy Halladay can add another 10-win season to his already impressive resume. Philadelphias ace tossed his fifth complete game of the season on Sunday to help the Phillies beat the Oakland Athletics, 3-1, in the rubber match of a three-game series. Halladay (10-3) gave up one run on eight hits while recording his seventh consecutive 10-win season. The right-hander also struck out four and walked zero in his 63rd career complete game. The Phillies usually come away victorious when Halladay takes the mound, and that has been the trend recently. Philly has won in each of Halladays last eight starts, with the star pitcher going 5-0 during the stretch. Today, I thought he was in a real good position, Phillies manager Charlie Manuel said of Halladay. We scratched out three runs and he did a tremendous job. Jimmy Rollins went 4-for-4 with two runs scored for the Phillies, who have posted a National League-leading 18-6 record in day games this season. Shane Victorino and Ben Francisco had an RBI apiece for the victors. Ryan Sweeney drove in the lone run for the As, who went 2-4 on a six-game road trip. Josh Outman (3-2), a former Phillies farmhand, gave up three runs on eight hits over six full frames to suffer the loss. He also struck out four and walked two. I thought we had our opportunities, As manager Bob Melvin said. We had our opportunities and we missed them today. I hope everybody in there realizes that everybody can be beat. The Phillies gave their ace some support early on. Rollins singled and Placido Polanco doubled to start the first inning. Victorino followed with an RBI single to left. Ryan Howard plated another run when he grounded into a double play. The As put their first two men on basse in the second.dddddddddddd Conor Jackson led off with a bloop double down the right-field line and Sweeney followed with an infield single. With men on first and second, Scott Sizemore hit a grounder to third baseman Polanco, who stepped on third and threw to first for a double play. Landon Powell grounded out to keep it a 2-0 game. Oakland was able to get on the board in the fourth. Coco Crisp reached base on a bunt single, moved to second on a groundout and crossed the plate on Sweeneys two-out bloop single to center. The top of the order came through for Philadelphia again in the fifth. Rollins infield single, Polancos base hit to center and Howards walk loaded the bases with two outs. Francisco then hit a dribbler down the third-base line that Outman fielded. Rollins raced home on the play and Francisco beat the throw at first. Crisp made a nice catch in right-center field on a ball hit by Carlos Ruiz to keep it a 3-1 game. Halladay retired seven straight batters before Jackson led off the seventh with a single. Two batters later, Sizemore doubled down the right-field line to put men on second and third. Powell popped out to second and pinch-hitter David DeJesus went down looking to end the threat. Halladay tossed a perfect eighth and got Sweeney to ground into a double play in the ninth to cap his complete-game performance. GAME NOTES:The all-time series between the Phillies and As is tied, 6-6...Halladay improved to 7-4 in 14 career starts against Oakland. Halladay now has nine 10- win seasons in his career...Philadelphia improved to 5-4 against the AL this season, while the As fell to 5-7 in interleague play...The Phillies are 15-9 in the month of June. The last time they won more than 15 games in June was 2003 (16 wins). cheap nfl jerseys ' ' '
