(Sports Network) - Carmelo Anthony will take his hot hand across the Hudson River tonight, when he leads the playoff-bound New York Knicks into New Jersey to take on the rival Nets from the Prudential Center. Anthony has scored 20 or more points in 10 straight games and is averaging 26.3 points, 6.6 rebounds and three assists in 24 games since joining the Knicks in a blockbuster deal with Denver. Anthony had 31 points and 11 rebounds in an exciting 97-92 victory in Philadelphia on Wednesday. The Knicks had a 19-point lead evaporate, but Anthony fueled a 10-4 spurt at the end of the game and put New York ahead to stay on a three-pointer in the waning seconds of the game. I really didnt have anywhere to go, said Anthony. I just pulled up. As soon as I let it go, it felt good. Toney Douglas scored 17 points off the bench, while Amare Stoudemire added 18 points and six rebounds for New York, which has won five straight following a six-game losing streak. Knicks guard Chauncey Billups left the game in the third quarter with a right thigh contusion and Stoudemire suffered an ankle injury. Stoudemire has already been ruled out of tonights contest while Billups was upgraded to probable. The Knicks are 1-0 on a three-game road trip and will also visit Indiana. They are 17-21 away from Madison Square Garden this season and took over the sixth spot in the Eastern Conference -- just a half-game ahead of Philadelphia with four to play. New Jersey has four more games on its schedule and will try to even its 19-20 home record with a win Friday night. The Nets have lost 11 of their last 13 games and dropped a 116-109 decision to the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Brook Lopez scored a career-high 39 points for the Nets, who played without star guard Deron Williams. We kind of lost the game by not getting the ball back inside, Nets coach Avery Johnson said. Brook just had an outstanding offensive game. Jordan Farmar picked up the slack with 18 points and 11 assists, and Sasha Vujacic scored 16 points in defeat. Nets forward Kris Humphries (ankle/heel) and guard Anthony Morrow (knee) are both questionable versus the Knicks. Humphries has a team-leading 29 double-doubles this season. Williams was shut down for the remainder of the season Friday morning because of a wrist injury that will require surgery. The All-Star underwent an MRI exam on Wednesday and the results revealed bone fragments and a buildup of scar tissue in the right wrist. The surgical procedure will remove the bone fragments and excise the scar tissue. The Nets acquired Williams from the Utah Jazz on February 23 and the two-time All-Star played just 12 games for his new team. He averaged 15.0 points and 12.8 assists during his brief tenure with the club. The Knicks lead the season series with New Jersey, 3-0, and will look to sweep the series for the first time since the 1998-99 campaign (3-0). These two Atlantic Division foes have split the previous 12 matchups in New Jersey. Stoudemire is averaging 29 points in two games against the Nets in 2010-11. Nike Free 3.0 Damen . Owner Bob Wetenhall announced Monday that Trestmans contract, which was to expire at the end of this season, has been extended by four years. New Balance 574 Schweiz .Y. -- Kyle Williams has taken the next big step forward on a surgically repaired left foot. http://www.2015nikefreesch.com/nike-air-max-90/nike-air-max- 90-damen.html . The veteran Winnipeg skip finally earned the right to represent Canada at the Olympics in Sochi, Russia next year with an 8-4 victory over Sherry Middaugh in the Canadian Curling Trials final Saturday night. Nike Free 5.0 Damen Schweiz . 3 Western Mustangs hammered the Ottawa Gee-Gees 83-27 in Canadian university football action. Finch completed 18-of-26 passes for 297 yards and also rushed eight times for 63 yards and a TD for Western (4-0). Nike Free 5.0 Damen . Arrieta signed with Columbus in April, but the Costa Rican forward debuted for the Crew this month. He scored in the 17th and 34th minutes as Columbus erased an early deficit for its second straight win over an Eastern Conference foe.KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. -- Serena Williams bid for a record sixth Key Biscayne title ended Tuesday night when she lost in the quarterfinals of the Sony Ericsson Open to former No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki, 6-4, 6-4. "I made her run," Wozniacki said. Wozniacki served well and was content to keep the ball in play from the baseline, using her retrieving skills to extend rallies until Williams would make a mistake. Williams hit 34 winners to 12 for Wozniacki, but also committed 36 unforced errors to the Danes 13. "Everyone I play always plays the match of the year," Williams said. Williams, seeded 10th, was playing in her first tournament since January after being sidelined by a left ankle injury. She hasnt won a title since August. "I probably played about 20 per cent," Williams said. "I just made a tremendous amount of errors. Theres no reason for that. Im older and I shouldnt do that. Theres no excuse. Ive just got to stop that. Its silly." Rafael Nadal swept five consecutive games midway through his match, propelling him to a 6-4, 6-4 win over Kei Nishikori to reach the quarterfinals. The victory was by far Nadals most taxing of the tournament, and he took a medical timeout late in the opening set for treatment of his troublesome left knee. Even so, hes one round closer to his first Key Biscayne title. "I am not probably in perfect condition today with the left knee," he said. "But the important thing is to try to win as many matches as possible. For me this is an important tournament, and every victory has very, very big value for me, especially without being perfect." Nadal, a three-time runner-up at Key Biscayne, lost the final last year to Novak Djokovic, and they could meet again Sunday. The top-ranked Djokovic reached the final eight by beating No. 17-seeded Richard Gasquet 7-5, 6-3. No. 2 Maria Sharapova became the first semifinalist when she drubbed reigning French Open champion Li Na 6-3, 6-0.dddddddddddd Sharapova had lost their previous four meetings. "I just really wanted to change that," she said, "so I was extremely focused and, you know, looking forward to the match." Like Nadal, Sharapova seeks her first Key Biscayne title. She lost the final in 2005, 2006 and last year. Nadal has been bothered by his knee since Indian Wells, where he lost to Roger Federer in the semifinals two weeks ago. Nine games into his match against Nishikori, Nadal called a medical timeout and had a trainer tape his leg. Thats when the momentum swung. In the next game, Nadal took the opening set with a service break when Nishikori sailed an easy forehand long. The Spaniard broke again as he raced to a 3-love lead in the second set. "At the end of the first set, I felt that I started to win my serves easier than him," Nadal said. "I had more the control of the game." Nadal improved to 16-3 this year. Hes seeking his first tournament title since the 2011 French Open. No. 4 Andy Murray, No. 5 David Ferrer and No. 6 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga also won in straight sets. No. 8 Mardy Fish edged No. 12 Nicolas Almagro 6-3, 6-7 (2), 6-3. Fish was relegated to the grandstand court for the third consecutive match rather than the stadium, even though hes the top-ranked American man, but the slight didnt faze him. Less than 24 hours after his upset win over Federer, Andy Roddick endured a drubbing against Juan Monaco, 7-5, 6-0. Monaco, a patient baseliner seeded 21st, was unfazed by Roddicks big serve, and the match became a succession of long rallies. Roddick began to look weary as the match progressed and stumbled after several shots as the match slipped away. For Roddick, the performance was a big comedown after he beat Federer for only the third time in 24 tries, temporarily silencing critics who say he should consider retirement. cheap nfl jerseys wholesale jerseys ' ' '
