The Otters (18-3-1), trailed 3-0 after 40 minutes, however shorthanded goals from Michael Curtis and Connor Brown brought Erie within one and Spencer Abraham forced extra time with a shorthanded goal at 19:08. Guelphs Justin Nichols stopped 37-of-41 shots in defeat. Dirk Nowitzki chipped in 18 points and a game-deciding 3-pointer to turn back the last Magic attempt at rallying from a 15-point first-half deficit.
