PHILADELPHIA -- LaTroy Hawkins nailed down a landmark save -- No. 100 in his long career as a major-league reliever. The 40-year-old right-hander finished off New Yorks 4-3 win over Philadelphia on Sunday, striking out Jimmy Rollins to end it and pull the Mets into a tie for third place with the Phillies in the NL East. "Big milestone. The guys on his way to 1,000 appearances, hopefully he pitches next year, so those are some huge milestones, so were happy," Mets manager Terry Collins said. Philadelphia pulled within one when Carlos Ruiz tagged and scored from third on a foul-ball pop up by Darin Ruf. The Phillies fell to 18-17 under Sandberg.
