The Saskatchewan Roughriders will attempt to become the third consecutive Canadian Football League team to capture a championship on their home field when they face the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at the 101st Grey Cup at Mosaic Stadium in Regina. TSNs pre-game coverage is underway live NOW, with kickoff at 6pm et/3pm pt. You can also follow TSNs digital platforms throughout the game with in-game highlights and TSN.cas GameTracker. To follow in the footsteps of the 99th Grey Cup Champion B.C. Lions and 100th Grey Cup Champion Toronto Argonauts, the Roughriders are going to have to beat a team that took an almost identical route to the title game as them in the Tiger-Cats. Both teams finished second in their respective division and after earning home semi-final victories, were forced to go on the road as underdogs to book their places in the final. In the West title game, the Roughriders knocked off the Calgary Stampeders 35-13, leading from the mid-point of the opening quarter right to the final whistle. After opening the regular season by winning eight of their first nine games, the Roughriders struggled through the second half of the campaign before getting things back on track heading into the playoffs. The Tiger-Cats, meanwhile, overturned a halftime deficit in the East Final to knock off the defending champion Argonauts and get to the Grey Cup. The Ticats also overcame a 1-4 start to the season before everything came together late in the season, especially on the defensive side of the ball, and they stayed hot through the playoffs. The Roughriders offence will be led by eight-year CFL veteran quarterback Darian Durant, who threw a career-high 31 touchdown passes as well as topping the 4,000 yard mark for the third time in his career. He also set a new personal benchmark with a 95.7 passer rating. This will be Durants third crack at leading the Roughriders to the Grey Cup, as he was behind centre during both the 2009 and 2010 losses to the Montreal Alouettes. He will have one of the CFLs most dynamic backs by his side in Kory Sheets, who finished the year with 1,598 yards - good enough for second overall. Sheets, in his second season in the league, contributed 12 touchdowns for the Roughriders. Speaking of veteran leadership, Henry Burris will be the pivot for the Tiger-Cats and he brings with him 15 years of CFL experience and the pedigree of leading the Stampeders to a championship in 2008. He also led the league this season with 4,925 passing yards as he continues to shine at the QB position. C.J. Gable will also be counted on to make an impact from the RB position for the Ticats, as the rookie finished fourth in rushing with 782 yards this season. One of the major storylines of this game will be Tiger-Cats head coach Kent Austin, who is a Roughriders legend; having led the team to championships as a quarterback in 1989 and as a head coach in 2007. Though he will be coaching against what will be a very partisan crowd against his team, a banner with his picture still hangs outside of Mosaic Stadium. Six players and one coach enter the game with the chance to win back-to-back titles. Ricky Foley, Tristan Black and Ejiro Kuale of the Roughriders or Evan McCullough, Brandon Isaac, Joel Reinders, and defensive coordinator Orlondo Steinauer of the Tiger-Cats will be finishing the season with the big prize for the second year in a row. The Roughriders have not captured the Grey Cup since Austin coached them there in 2007, while the Tiger-Cats havent been crowned champions since 1999. TSNs coverage of the 101st Grey Cup gets underway with SportsCentre hosts Jennifer Hedger and Darren Dutchyshen kicking things off from Mosaic Stadium at 1pm et/10 am pt. Then, hosts Dave Randorf and Brian Williams take over at Mosaic Stadium at 3pm et/Noon pt alongside the CFL On TSN panel featuring Chris Schultz, Matt Dunigan, Jock Climie, Milt Stegall, and Paul LaPolice. The Pre-Game Show also checks in with Cabbie, as he hosts the Sun Life Grey Cup Fan March from Victoria Park to Mosaic Stadium and delivers another special edition of Cabbie Presents from Regina. The 101st Grey Cup gets underway at 6pm et/3pm pt live on TSN, TSN Radio, and TEAM Radio. TSNs acclaimed broadcast team of Chris Cuthbert and Glen Suitor are in the broadcast booth providing play-by-play commentary and game analysis during the game on TSN. Prior to kick-off, TSN will feature a performance by Saskatchewan natives The Sheepdogs as part of the CFLs special Kick-Off Show. At halftime, TSN has live coverage of the SiriusXM Grey Cup Half-Time Show featuring Canadian multi-platinum pop group Hedley. Joe Namath Jersey . Bae played bogey-free Friday on another gorgeous day at Riviera for a 5-under 66, giving him a one-shot lead over Aaron Baddeley and Robert Garrigus going into the weekend. Calvin Pryor Jets Jersey DENVER -- Trevor Cahill took one for the team again. This time, however, he stuck around to get the win. Cahill shook off another line drive to his right hip and pitched into the sixth inning, and the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Colorado Rockies 7-2 on Saturday night. "Same spot twice," Cahill said. "Fortunately, this one didnt take me out of the game." Matt Davidson homered and drove in three runs and Gerardo Parra and Chris Owings had three hits apiece for the Diamondbacks, who won for the first time since being eliminated from the NL West race Thursday. Charlie Blackmon had three hits for Colorado. Cahill (8-10) stayed despite taking a line drive by DJ LeMahieu off his right leg in the bottom of the first. The Arizona trainer didnt come out to look at him, and Cahill got the next three batters to strand runners at first and third. "He was hurting a little bit but he got through it," manager Kirk Gibson said. "Well see how he comes out of it." Cahill said it was the same spot where he was hit by a line drive in the first inning against Miami on June 19. He got through that inning but then came out of the game. He made two rough starts after that before going on the 15-day disabled list with a right hip contusion. Saturday, he gutted it out and got the win. "I think it glanced off," he said. "It was kind of sore for a couple of innings but actually felt a lot better as the game went on. Pushing off I felt it for a couple of pitches but I tried to not think about it." His counterpart didnt fare as well. Colin McHugh (0-3), still looking for his first career win, allowed six runs and 11 hits in five innings. "It was kind of disappointing, too many balls up in the middle of the plate," he said. "I had success the last outing keeping the ball down and out of the middle of the plate. Today we got beat on a couple of big spots in the middle of the plate up." The Diamondbacks jumped on McHugh in the first. Wiillie Bloomquist reached on a single and scored on Martin Prados two-out double.dddddddddddd They made it 2-0 in the second on Tuffy Gosewischs RBI single to right. Arizona broke it open in the third on Davidsons three-run homer to centre. Parra followed with a double and came home on Owings single that made it 6-0. "I wasnt looking nothing, I was just trying to battle," Davidson said. "Parra got a hit after that, then (Owings) did. Its fun hitting and its definitely contagious. It took pressure off Cahill." The Rockies broke through in the fourth on Jordan Pachecos sacrifice fly that scored Todd Helton to make it 6-1. Cahill ran into trouble in the sixth and surrendered an RBI single to Jonathan Herrera that made it 6-2. Josh Collmenter came on and struck out Ryan Wheeler to end the inning. Cahill allowed two runs -- one earned -- and seven hits, striking out five in 5 2-3 innings. "Only one walk," Gibson said. "When he doesnt walk people he wins." The Rockies felt like they missed an opportunity to get to Cahill in the first inning. "We had first and third nobody out and we didnt score," manager Walt Weiss said. "Its hard to say that in the first inning it changed the game, but it would have changed it early for sure." The Rockies were without outfielders Michael Cuddyer (right forearm, wrist) and Carlos Gonzalez (strained right middle finger), shortstop Troy Tulowitzki (day off) and catcher Wilin Rosario (calf strain). Helton and second Josh Rutledge were the only players from the opening-day starting lineup in the game Saturday. NOTES: Arizonas Paul Goldschmidt singled in the ninth to extend his hitting streak to 11 games. ... Parra has reached safely in 17 of his last 20 games. ... Cuddyer has missed three straight games but said he hopes to play Sunday. ... Blackmon has an extra-base hit in seven straight games. ... Arizona LHP Patrick Corbin (14-7) will face Rockies RHP Juan Nicasio (8-8) in Sundays game.
