FONTANA, Calif. - James Hinchcliffe will return to Andretti Autosport in 2014 with sponsorship from United Fiber & Data. The team, meanwhile, will switch from Chevrolet to Honda. The manufacturer change to Honda announced before Saturday nights season finale at Auto Club Speedway had been expected after rival Chip Ganassi said two weeks ago he was moving to Chevrolet. The re-signing of Hinchcliffe went down to the wire. Not only did Andretti need a new primary sponsor to replace GoDaddy, but Hinchcliffe had been in discussions with Ganassi on a multi-series program. Hinchcliffes hope had been that the Ganassi deal would eventually lead him to the teams No. 10 car currently driven by Dario Franchitti. But without sponsorship needed to fund the Ganassi program, Hinchcliffes smart play was a return to Andretti, where hes become a breakout star for the series. "The last two years have been tremendous and weve spoken so much about the chemistry and the team, and being able to keep the band together is huge," Hinchcliffe said. The Oakville, Ont., native was hired by Andretti following Dan Wheldons death in a crash in the 2011 season finale. Wheldon had been scheduled to replace Danica Patrick in the Andretti ride, and team owner Michael Andretti then turned to Hinchcliffe, who was looking for a ride following the unexpected closure of Newman-Haas Racing. Instantly popular among fans off the track, Hinchcliffe clicked immediately with new teammates Marco Andretti and Ryan Hunter-Reay. He hit his stride this season, where he won his first career IndyCar race in the St. Pete season-opener, and later added wins at Brazil and Iowa. But the indecision of sponsor GoDaddy made Hinchcliffes future at Andretti uncertain. Instead, Michael Andretti grabbed United Fiber & Data for the No. 27 car. The tech company, which was founded by three members of the multi-platinum rock band LIVE and their Think Loud Development company, will also be an associate sponsor for Marco Andretti and Hunter-Reay, and the primary sponsor for Pro Mazda Champion Matthew Brabham as he moves to Indy Lights next season for Andretti. UFD director Bill Hynes said Hinchcliffe will be an outstanding spokesman for its tech company. "We saw how great James was with his prior sponsor, how great he was as a brand ambassador, and we almost want to piggyback to that," said Hynes. "We just really love the IndyCar product, we really think its great platform for us and we really think the face for UFD should be (Hinchcliffe)." The move to Honda was expected following Ganassis decision to join Roger Penske in the Chevrolet ranks. It put the top three IndyCar organizations with the same manufacturer, and a switch to Honda made sense for Andretti. It means hell be the top team and not fighting with two others for attention or resources. "Its like being back home," Andretti said. "I have no doubt that together we will see great success." Andretti won three series championships with Honda in 2004, 2005 and 2007, and the Indianapolis 500 in 2005 and 2007. Of Andretti Autosports 48 IndyCar wins, 39 were with Honda. "As many of you will remember, the Andretti organization played a major role in Hondas success during the previous era of manufacturer competition in Indy car racing, and were looking forward to adding more victories and championships to an already impressive total," said Art St. Cyr, President, Honda Performance Development. In its two seasons with Chevrolet, Andretti won the championship last season with Hunter-Reay and nine races. "We would like to thank the Andretti Autosport drivers for their on-track achievements that contributed to Chevrolet clinching the 2012 manufacturers championship," said Jim Campbell, U.S. Vice-President Performance Vehicles and Motorsports. "They are all true professionals on and off the track. We wish them well and look forward to spirited competition in the future." Luis Figo Jersey . According the Toronto Star, a knee injury will keep Sundin out of the lineup, which includes former teammates Gary Roberts, Darcy Tucker, Tie Domi and Curtis Joseph. Fabio Coentrao Jersey . Clarke was injured while practicing on the Doha Golf Club range after the pro-am on Tuesday. The Northern Irishman arrived at the course on Wednesday hoping to start, but after hitting a few balls on the practice putting green Clarke advised officials he was not fit to play. http://www.officialportugalonline.com/world-cup-andre-almeid a-football-jersey/ . It is a cliché dragged out by fans and pundits regularly when discussions take place around which teams are better than others. Pepe Portugal Jersey . But the quarterback hopes to stay involved in football after officially calling it quits Tuesday. "Id love to look at those opportunities as they arise," Pierce said in an interview from his Winnipeg eatery. Ricardo Carvalho Portugal Jersey . -- Jacksonville wide receiver Cecil Shorts will likely be a game-time decision whether hell play Sunday in the Jaguars home game against the San Diego Chargers. BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Sabres centre Mikhail Grigorenko was back in Buffalo on Wednesday after the NHL blocked the teams attempt to send the rookie to the minors on a two-week conditioning assignment. In reaching its decision, the league cited its agreement with the Canadian Hockey League preventing teams from assigning players with junior eligibility to the American Hockey League. "We determined that the assignment would not have been consistent with our obligations under the leagues agreement with the CHL," NHL spokesman Frank Brown wrote in an email to The Associated Press. Interim coach Ted Nolan accepted the leagues ruling, which came a day after the Sabres demoted Grigorenko to their AHL affiliate in Rochester N.Y., for conditioning. "We thought we were doing it by the rulebook, but unfortunately we werent," Nolan said. "Now hes back with us. Well have to sit down and evaluate what the next step is." Players remain on their NHL teams roster and are paid their full salary during conditioning stints, which last no more than 14 days. The question became whether the 19-year-old Grigorenko qualified for assignment. The ruling limits the Sabres options in determining how to develop a player who has had difficulty earning regular ice time in Buffalo. Grigorenko has two goals and one assist in 15 games this season and had missed two straight games and five of seven as a healthy scratch before being assigned to AHL Rochester. The Sabres must now choose between keeping Grigorenko on theeir roster and returning him to his Canadian junior team in Quebec.dddddddddddd. Rather than preparing to play against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Wednesday, Grigorenko practiced with the Sabres in Buffalo before the team travelled to Philadelphia for a game against the Flyers on Thursday. Nolan said he had not yet determined whether Grigorenko would play. The NHLs ruling was the latest twist in whats become an unsettled professional career for the Russian-born player, who was selected by Buffalo with the No. 12 pick in the 2012 draft. Grigorenko is now playing for his third coach in Buffalo, after Nolan replaced Ron Rolston, who was fired last week. After opening last season playing in Quebec, Grigorenko earned a spot on the Sabres roster at the end of the NHL lockout. He had a goal and four assists in 22 games before the Sabres elected to return him to Quebec. Grigorenko then came back to Buffalo to play the final three games of the season and two more for Rochester in the playoffs after Quebecs season ended. The Sabres would prefer Grigorenko develop in the AHL rather than the juniors. "Hes a real nice young man. Hes just put in this predicament," Nolan said. "Now we have to go back to the drawing board and see what else might work, and what the best situation is for him to develop his skill and be the dominant player we all think he could be in this organization." On Wednesday, the Sabres also recalled centre Luke Adam and defenceman Brayden McNabb from Rochester.
